Reading Programmes on Household Money Language for Adults 40 and Above
Halverin offers structured workbook workshops and small-cohort reading circles on the vocabulary and frameworks that shape household money conversations at mid-life and beyond.
What We Offer
Three Reading Programmes
Each programme is educational and discussion-led. No advice or product recommendations are offered in any session.
Mid-Life Money Mapping Reading Workshop
A two-day structured workbook workshop for adults aged 42 to 55 on the language and frameworks of mid-life household money mapping. Participants work through household priority mapping, cashflow rhythm structures, role distribution, and household conversation patterns.
- Clothbound workbook and household reference card included
- Follow-up reflection circle access
- Cohort size: 8–12 participants
Family Conversation Frameworks Reading Programme
A six-week reading programme on intergenerational household money conversations — partner discussions, conversations with adult children, with ageing parents, and sibling coordination. A chapter is distributed ahead of each weekly session and discussed in a cohort of twelve.
- Clothbound reading binder and conversation cards
- Peer discussion notebook included
- Cohort size: 12 participants
Retirement Vocabulary Reading Circle
A three-session reading circle on retirement-stage vocabulary common to Singapore — CPF Life, SRS, drawdown structures, household income mapping, and the documentation used by qualified professionals. Sessions are discussion-led with pre-distributed reading material.
- Glossary and weekly worksheets included
- Peer discussion notebook
- Educational; not a substitute for qualified advice
Why Halverin
A Considered Approach to Adult Reading
Small, Purposeful Cohorts
Groups of eight to twelve allow genuine discussion rather than passive listening. Participants engage with material at a considered pace.
Reading-Led Structure
Material is sent ahead of sessions so participants arrive prepared. Sessions centre on discussion, not delivery of new information.
No Advice, No Products
Halverin programmes are educational in scope. No financial advice, regulated services, or product recommendations are offered at any point.
Calm, Unhurried Setting
Sessions are held at Shaw Tower in a quiet, professionally appointed studio space — designed for reflection, not for sales.
Tangible Written Materials
Each programme includes a clothbound workbook or reading binder. Participants leave with reference materials suited to continued household conversation.
Singapore-Specific Context
Content and vocabulary are oriented to the Singapore household context, including CPF structures, SRS accounts, and local documentation norms.
Next Cohort
Would a reading programme suit where you are now?
Places are limited in each cohort. If you would like to understand more about what a programme involves or which one may be appropriate, we are glad to answer questions before you decide.
Common Questions
Programme Questions
Who are the programmes suitable for?
The programmes are designed for adults aged 40 and above who want to develop a clearer understanding of the vocabulary and frameworks commonly used in household money discussions at mid-life. No prior knowledge of finance is assumed or required.
Is Halverin a licensed financial adviser?
No. Halverin is an educational reading programme provider. All sessions are informational and discussion-led. No advice, no regulated services, and no product recommendations are offered at any point. Participants seeking personal financial guidance are encouraged to consult a licensed adviser.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions take place at our studio at Shaw Tower, 100 Beach Road, #34-00, Singapore 189702. The space is quiet and professionally appointed. Directions and access notes are sent to participants ahead of the first session.
How do I enrol in a programme?
You are welcome to use the enquiry form below or contact us directly by phone or email. We will respond within two working days with information on current and upcoming cohort dates, session schedules, and enrolment steps.
What materials are included in the fee?
Materials vary by programme. The Money Mapping Workshop includes a clothbound workbook and household reference card. The Family Conversation Frameworks Programme includes a reading binder, conversation cards, and a peer discussion notebook. The Retirement Vocabulary Circle includes a glossary, worksheets, and a discussion notebook. All materials are physical and distributed at the first session.
Can I attend more than one programme?
Yes. Each programme addresses a distinct area — mapping, conversation frameworks, and retirement vocabulary — and they are complementary rather than sequential. Many participants choose to attend two or all three at different points in the year.
